Gatsby Inspired Wedding: Chris & Brian

I love looking back on all of my past couple’s weddings, but reflecting on Chris and Brian’s love-filled day truly makes me smile! Words cannot express my excitement and humbled honor to have worked with these two—after dating for nearly 20 years, Chris and Brian were finally able to legally wed and celebrate their union amongst loved ones. Their wedding exuded the couple’s warm and playful personality while embracing their historic venue. Working with these two was nothing short of memorable, which shines through all aspects and details of this incredible wedding day. Enjoy a gallery of some of my favorite images from this special occasion below!

Hotel Baker was built in 1928 and continues to exude the period of its origins. Chris and Brian decided upon a 1920s art-deco inspired theme as a nod to the hotel’s historic significance.

Chris & Brian spent some time relaxing the morning of their wedding and took their beloved Shelties on a walk around their home.

First look and looking very dapper!

Instead of walking down the aisle separately, Chris and Brian walked hand-in-hand as they finally began their life together as a legally married couple. (Do you see the rainbow?!)

When you have an outdoor ceremony, lighting a unity candle can be tricky. Chris and Brian opted for a unity sand ceremony instead.

Chris and Brian carried their art-deco logo into many details, including these chocolate-covered pretzels with a cigar band and custom matchbooks.

Guests were welcomed by a grand display of palm tree leaves, reminiscent of the 1920s.

The 1920s theme extended to the ballroom with arrangements featuring feathers and more palm tree leaves.

The base of each arrangement was accented by julep cups filled with small blooms and mercury votives.

It’s all in the details.

Love is sweet.
